About Henry

Henry Snyder began sending various engine designs to me in 1991. The drawings were done by hand and the letters were typed on an old manual typewriter.  

At first I didn't take the designs seriously due to the fact that they were hand drawn so I put the letters in a drawer and forgot about them. Well, Henry kept sending ideas and one night I pulled them out and looked at them again.
I realized that the ideas were sound and the drawings accurate in terms of mechanical layout.  

We began corresponding soon after and Henry's design ideas improved.

I went to visit Henry and found that he lived in a nursing home for those with mental illness. As a young man he was a bright student and chess player but his mental condition forced him to become increasingly withdrawn from society and he was eventually admitted to a home.  

Henry wanted very much to have one of his ideas take off so that he could feel that he had contributed to society. Sadly, Henry passed away in December, 1998. He had written me hundreds of letters over those 8 years and will be missed greatly.

About Mike

Henry Works is owned and operated by Mike Taggett.  

Mike Taggett recently sold the company he founded, Chums, which supported his alternative energy work for 14 years. Mike has done work in Utah, Idaho, Michigan, Kansas, Illinois and now in El Paso, TX.
